The Pokerstars Bonus Offer Explained

If you find yourself ready to deposit real money onto Pokerstars but aren't quite sure how the bonus offer works, then this article is for you.
Pokerstars offers their new customers a one-time 100% sign-up bonus of up to $50. If you have already deposited on the site before, then you will not be eligible for this offer.
Here is how it works:
First off, you need to sign up for an account on Pokerstars if you haven't already done so. During the sign-up process, you will be prompted for a "Pokerstars Marketing Code". Enter POKER-KING into this field.
At this point, you need to deposit real money on to the site. You can do this in a variety of different ways. To deposit, simply access the Cashier screen and choose your method of depositing.
When you are depositing, you will be prompted for a "Pokerstars Bonus Code". At this point, you need to enter STARS50 in order to qualify for the 100% bonus of up to $50.
Keep in mind that this is a matching bonus that is offered by Pokerstars. This means that the company will match the size of your initial deposit up to a maximum of $50.
So if you deposit $50, then you will be eligible to receive a bonus of $50.
If you choose to deposit just $20 initially, then you will only be eligible for a bonus of $20.
Now, Pokerstars won't just give the bonus to you. You have to earn it.
Bonuses are earned through participation in real-money cash games, SNGs and MTTs.
For every 10 Base FPPs (Frequent Player Points) that you generate, you will have earned $1 of your bonus. The entire bonus will be released to you once you have earned the entire amount.
If you are eligible for a bonus of $20, then you would have to earn 200 FPPs in order to unlock your bonus.
The more tables that you play and the higher of stakes that you play, the faster you will earn your bonus. FPPs are awarded for every hand of a real money cash game that you participate in, and every cent in tournament or SNG fees that you pay.
Pokerstars will give you up to six months to fully earn your bonus. This is one of the most generous amounts in the industry.
A few things to remember:
-the amount of your INITIAL deposit determines the size of your bonus. Any subsequent deposits will have no bearing on the size of your bonus
-you have SIX months to earn your bonus
-bonuses are earned through playing in real money games.
