The Full Tilt Poker First Deposit Bonus Explained

First off - this is a matching bonus. This means that Full Tilt Poker will match the size of your FIRST deposit on the site up to a maximum of $600.
So, if you choose to deposit $250 initially, then you would be eligible for a bonus of $250. If you deposit $600 or more, then you would be eligible for the maximum $600 bonus.
Now, does this mean that Full Tilt Poker just sends $250 or $600 into your account? Not exactly.
Full Tilt Poker gives out these bonuses in an effort to entice people to play on their site. If they just handed over the money, then many people would simply withdraw and leave the site.
Instead, you have to earn the bonus by participating in real-money cash game tables, Sit and Go's or Multi-Table Tournaments.
In order to unlock your bonus, you need to earn FTPs (Full Tilt Points).
FTPs are earned by playing at real-money tables. The faster you earn FTPs, the faster you will earn your bonus.
For each dollar that is raked in a real-money cash game, Full Tilt Poker will award every player at the table with 1 FTP, up to a maximum of 3 FTPs. Each FTP is worth 6 cents.
Also, in real-money tournaments or SNGs, Full Tilt Poker will award 7 FTPs for every dollar in tournament fees that you pay. So, for instance, if you enter a $20+$2 SNG, then you would receive 14 FTPs. There is no limit to the amount of FTPs that are paid out for tournament or SNG fees.
Full Tilt Poker will issue your bonus in 10% or $20 increments, whichever comes first.
So, if you are eligible for a $250 bonus, then you would receive your bonus in $20 increments as you earn the required FTPs.
If you are eligible for a $50 bonus, then you would receive your bonus in $5 increments.
