Who Has The Better Signup Bonus - Pokerstars or FTP?
 |

Pokerstars (#1) and Full Tilt Poker (#2) are currently the two largest online poker rooms in the world.
These two rooms built themselves up into giants in two different ways.
Pokerstars benefited from Chris Moneymaker winning the 2003 World Series of Poker. Moneymaker famously qualified for the event through a satellite on Pokerstars, and the rest is history. Pokerstars benefited from Moneymaker's tremendous exposure on ESPN and quickly became one of the largest online poker rooms in the world.
Full Tilt Poker, on the other hand, built themselves up into being a giant through player sponsorships (Phil Ivey, etc) and their aggressive sign-up bonus.
With that being said - who has the better sign-up bonus.. Full Tilt Poker or Pokerstars?
Let's look at a comparison of the major selling points of each bonus:
1. Amount.
Both Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker offer their new customers an opportunity to earn a bonus of up to $600.
Advantage - Draw.
2. Length of Time to Clear Bonus.
Pokerstars gives their players up to 180 days to clear their initial deposit bonus, while Full Tilt Poker allows you 120 days to clear your bonus.
Advantage - Pokerstars.
3. Deposit Requirements.
At Full Tilt Poker, ONLY your first deposit on the site counts towards your bonus. So, if you deposit $100 initially, then you are entitled to a maximum of a $100 bonus. Pokerstars, on the other hand, lets you make up to three deposits that will count towards your bonus, provided that the second and third deposits occur within 90 days of your original deposit on the site. So, with Pokerstars, you could deposit $100, then $200, then $300, and be eligible for the entire $600 bonus.
Advantage - Pokerstars.

The advantage lies with Pokerstars when it comes to their initial deposit bonus, but you should definitely take advantage of both.
