The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) is one of those highly visible poker events; it takes place every year; PokerStars televises it in the US and all over the world; and it plays an important role in major poker tours:

Launched in 2004, the PCA began as part of the World Poker Tour (WPT). In 2008, it became part of the European Poker Tour (EPT). Starting in 2010, the PCA serves as the inaugural event of the North American Poker Tour (NAPT).

PokerStars Women Live is a series of poker events all around the world exclusive to female players. Women’s Live makes top-level poker more accessible to women, and it’s a superb chance to highlight the many women poker pros.

So what is this all have in common? Well, for 2012, PokerStars has added a Women Live event to the PCA. The PCA takes place in the Bahamas, and the ladies-only event runs from Thursday, January 12 to Saturday, January 14.

The buy-in for the Women Live PCA event is $1,100, and all are welcome. Just show up the day of the event.

As an alternative, PokerStars’ clients can win a seat at this event online. PokerStars is awarding numerous prize packages that include the buy-in, $1,000 for travel and expenses, and three nights hotel accommodation.

PokerStars began awarding seats to the Women Live PCA on Saturday, October 29, and they will continue to award a new winner each week until Saturday, December 31. Players have several options to attend those weekly finals:

• Daily freeroll at 2:30 PM ET starting October 22
• Multiple daily cash satellites starting October 22 with buy-ins as low as $1.10
• $215 buy-in or T$ (PokerStars Tournament Dollars) the day of the Saturday event

If you don’t yet have a PokerStars account, this is a great time to open one. Once you do, start the client, enter the lobby, click ‘Events,’ and then click ‘PCA.’ That’s it. You’ll be on your way to the 2012 Women Live event at the PCA.
