Each planet represents a different stakes level, ranging from a $1 to a $300 buy-in, and each division has its own weekly prize pool split among to separate leader boards, one for casual players, the other for high-volume players.
Battle of the Planets
• Mercury — $1-$2.99 — $3,000
• Mars — $3-$4.99 — $4,000
• Venus — $5-$9.99 — $5,000
• Earth — $10-$19.99 — $6,000

In Mercury, which is the lowest-stakes division, the total weekly prize pool is $3,000. That means that there’s $1,500 for the “Low Orbit” or casual leader board, and there’s $1,500 for the “High Orbit” or high-volume leader board.
The same holds true for all of the other planets too.
Each player that finishes in the top ten for the week, in either orbit, in all of the divisions, earns an exclusive ticket to a monthly PokerStars “Battle of the Planets” Sit & Go triple shootout with a massive $50,000 prize pool!
That’s the standard version of Battle of the Planets. The 10th anniversary edition runs from Sunday, December 11 to Saturday, December 17. There are two significant differences for the anniversary edition of Battle of the Planets.
The first change is that PokerStars has doubled all prize pools:
• Mercury — $6,000
• Mars — $8,000
• Venus — $10,000
• Earth — $12,000
• Neptune — $14,000
• Uranus — $16,000
• Saturn — $18,000
• Jupiter — $20,000
The second change is that each planet has a Low Target, for the Low Orbit, and a High Target, for the High Orbit. Any and every player that hits that target in that week automatically wins an additional $10,000 in cash:
• Mercury — Low Target: 650 points, High Target: 2,000 points
• Mars — 650/2000
• Venus — 625/1900
• Earth — 600/1800
• Neptune — 550/1700
• Uranus — 525/1600
• Saturn — 500/1550
• Jupiter — 450/1500
