Pokerstars - TCOOPPublished on 2011-12-26 21:27:00
PokerStars is one of the most successful poker rooms online. It got that way through top-notch customer service, a rich approach to client loyalty, and sponsorship of a wide array of professional players and live and online events.
A crucial element setting PokerStars apart from the field is its approach to tomorrow. PokerStars understands that in order to hold its top spot, it must never be idle, and it must continue to be aggressive and break new ground.
In 2011, PokerStars did that again by launching the Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP).
Use Marketing Code: THEKING
The inaugural TCOOP wasn't just another online poker tournament. Instead, TCOOP was a major poker series featuring 50+ events with huge prize pools, and it attracted top professional players from all over the world.
What makes TCOOP so special and popular is that it's all turbo all the time. There has never been another poker series like it, live or online, and for those who love the frenetic nature of turbo poker, it's a dream come true.
In fact, the inaugural TCOOP was so successful that PokerStars has decided to make it a yearly occurrence, and the second installment, TCOOP 2012, begins on Thursday, January 19 and runs through Thursday, January 29.
Once again, TCOOP is 10 days long and 50+ events large with a total guaranteed prize pool of $10,000,000!
The 50-plus-event schedule includes both Turbo and Hyper-Turbo tournaments. The buy-ins range from $5.50 to $2,100, so there's something for all. And the highlight is the Main Event with a guaranteed $1.5M prize pool.
How to Participate in TCOOP 2012
Participation is simple: Have a valid PokerStars account. That's it. Players can sign up for events and pay the buy-in in advance, or they can simply show up in the minutes leading up to the event and join then. But don't wait too long!
Starting in December, PokerStars is offering a packed daily schedule of TCOOP satellites. Some of the most popular TCOOP events have hefty buy-ins, and the satellites are a great way to earn a seat at a fraction of the cost.
Many of the TCOOP satellites running in December only require Frequent Player Points (FPPs), and for those with actual buy-ins, the buy-ins start at $0.50 + $0.05, which lets you play a lot of turbo daily for a few bucks or less.
If you've never played at PokerStars, then there's never been a better time to start. December and January are going to be awesome, big-money months, and we look forward to seeing you at the tables. Good luck!
