Montreal PartyPoker Classic
The Montreal PartyPoker Classic is the biggest charity poker event in Canada and one of the biggest in the world. More importantly, it raises money for a very crucial cause: the Jodi Lazarus Fund for Hereditary Breast Cancer.
The Montreal Classic has a $275 buy-in with re-buy and options, and it starts on Sunday, March 25, and continues through Wednesday, March 28. It takes place at the ballroom of the Le Windsor hotel in the heart of Montreal.
Participants in the Montreal Classic will be competing for 10 seats at the World Poker Tour (WPT) main event. There’s also a prize pool. Last year, it exceeded $200,000, and we’re expecting it to be even bigger this time around.

PartyPoker is giving their clients an opportunity to win their way to the Montreal Classic with an extensive satellite structure that begins on Monday, February 6 at midnight, and ends on Sunday, March 11 at 11:59 PM ET.
IMPORTANT: This promotion is only open to Canadian players.
Participation is simple because PartyPoker is hosting new qualifiers and sub-qualifiers every day. The sub-qualifiers have a buy-in of $0.80 + $0.20, and for each $6 in the pool, there is a seat at a qualifier up for grabs.
If a player prefers to jump straight into the qualifiers, the buy-in is $5.50 + $0.50, and there are multiple qualifiers each day. For every 10 players who participate in a qualifier, PartyPoker awards one seat to next championship.
PartyPoker is also hosting freerolls on Sundays, which are equivalent to a qualifier. These freerolls are only open to Canadian players who have made a $25 or greater deposit within the last seven days prior to the freeroll.
The championship satellites take place on Wednesdays at 8:15 PM ET and Sundays at 4:15 PM ET. Players can enter directly, and the buy-in is $50 + $5. PartyPoker awards at least two packages, or one for each 10 participants.
The prize package includes the $275 buy-in and $225 to cover expenses.
PartyPoker is also hosting a Montreal PartyPoker Classic Mega Satellite on Sunday, March 4. It will award an additional 25 prize packages and $2,500 in cash and prizes.
